MDFaçade Cork Board
MDFaçade is Amorim’s specialist expanded cork board for visible exterior applications, offering a natural façade finish alongside reliable thermal and acoustic performance. Made from cork without added synthetic binders, the boards retain the material’s distinctive texture and character, allowing the insulation layer to become part of the building’s finished design.
Developed for exterior façades, MDFaçade can be installed using adhesive and mechanical fixings, with an overlapping system also available. Its vapour-permeable construction supports breathable building design, while the dense expanded-cork structure provides dimensional stability, resistance to moisture and long-term durability.
MDFaçade is 100% natural and fully recyclable. Cork is harvested from the bark of the cork oak without cutting down the tree, and the material stores carbon throughout its service life. The result is a distinctive, low-maintenance façade solution suited to architectural, sustainable-build and retrofit projects where both appearance and building performance matter.
